New and busy things 11/02/2009
The past few months have been active and busy. As of September I am now the Drama Director for a high school here in Michigan. This has offered a new and unique challenge. Selfishly I must say that I am learning/re-learning a lot about acting. It is amazing how much you can learn from teaching. The best part is that I get to work in the field yet still have time to pursue my one true passion. I have had a few auditions as of late, one that, specifically, could offer a great career move as well as getting to work with some amazing people that seem to have the true meaning of movie-making in mind. So we shall see. 'Nikki & Eli' 02/17/2009
Just within the last two weeks I was cast in 'Nikki & Eli' shooting in Royal Oak Michigan. This has promise to be a very strong and well done short. It is a Gulley Brothers Production being directed by Rob Gulley and I will be acting along side Grace Anne Rowan. This will be my first East Michigan based shoot. New news 01/28/2009
It appears that some good fortune has fallen on a movie that Ryan Thompson and I had made, with both of us producing and writing it (with Adam Goron),Zombie Apocalypse. Though things are still in the process it appears the movie has been picked up. A distribution company has picked up the movie and will be, if all goes according to plan, distributing it in theatres in Mexico and Germany. There is also talks of a release on rentals and also purchase copies. Further more a comic is in the works that will feature a prequel story about Miller (my character) which will be sold in comic book stores. You can see information regarding the movie at www.zombieapocalypsemovie.com. Hopefully more good news to follow. New work and first blog 01/26/2009
Things are once again starting to move. It was a difficult time moving from Grand Rapids to the Detroit area after being away for eight years. Just yesterday (Sunday, Jan. 25th) I took part in a small shoot called 'Lost Whiskey' for Phil Worfle on his 30th birthday back in Grand Rapids. It was an amazing to work with some people I have not seen in a few months as well as working in such a professional atmosphere. |
